Short-Term Grants

In the Cross community workshop on Extreme Events and Environments from Climate to Society (E3S), along with Future Earth goals, we would like to encourage and foster the active participation of Early Career Scientists.

Hence, we call for nominations of 15 Early Career Scientists* to take part in the E3S workshop with the following information included:

1. CV (1 page, table format)


2. Abstract (max. 700 words + 1 figure) about their E3S related research topic context to be presented at Feb.2016 workshop and to be published in meeting proceedings


3. Explanation of motivation to engage in active preparation, participation and wrap-up of the meeting


4. Preferred workshop session to participate

Self-nominations are possible, but should be accompanied by a letter of reference.
Travel costs and accommodation of the selected Early Career Scientists will be covered by E3S.


* late PhD´s and researchers/people working in E3S related field up to 5 – max. 7 years after PhD or other highest academic degree are considered as early-career researchers
